The First KL City GT
Kurnia Insurance is amongst the top 3 general insurance providers in the country with a bulk of their business coming from motor.
It was only natural that they take part in the KL City Grand Prix, the very first international car race held in the city, in Malaysia. What began as just a race car sponsorship became a full-on integrated marketing exercise for the brand. With Josh Hunt as their driver, we quickly took advantage of this by creating Safety First campaign featuring Hunt.
For this project, we took videos and stills of Josh and the team, during preparation and practice, time trials and race day, produced live updates and ran a very interactive update of the teams progress with audiences on the client's social media channel. This as opened up for comments and tweets.
Product Launch KTM RC 390
The first of its many exciting models to be launched, the Client wanted this to be a celebration. A sports bike like this, 250cc and 390cc with sharp lines and futuristic design was never before seen in this market. Other countries in the region had their respective launches and now it was time for Malaysia to make its mark. We were also asked to launch its apparel line, power_parts.
With the high ceiling and auditorium seating style at the premises, we opened with an aerial dance, with the dancer dancing as she circulated the entire center stage while being suspended. The gimmick was a ton bike with torn dancers who then rode the bikes in the dark to the center stage. We then proceeded with a fashion show for the apparel range and had a lucky draw and appreciation ceremony for dealers.
Product Launch KTM ADV 1500
We proposed that the launch date was to coincide with the MotoGP weekend. Paddock Party style held in the heart of KL with guests being invited from all motorcycle groups in the adventure and touring category. The secret that was going to be revealed was, this 1050 CKD version would cost only 70k with a whole range of accessories available via KTM's Power parts.
The result of this was the 1st batch was sold out on the launch night. We also proceeded with a nation wide road show to promote further sales, starting with the bike being displayed at our concept store booth in MotoGP Sepang, that weekend.
MotoGP Exhibit For KTM
With an expected crowd of 120k people that weekend, the client was prepared to put on a big show with a booth size of 40m X 20m. We proposed a concept store for KTM with a full range bike display and power_wear store where the crowd could experience the shape of things to come.
The client at that time was also to announce and make a press statement that they were taking up the entire KTM business and expanding with models.
We helped secure and supply bikes and logistics for all the enduro and premium bike models that were displayed as the client had only just signed the agreement with KTM Austria and there was no time to bring the bikes by then.
